35 years of research

EXPERIENCE, QUALITY AND INNOVATION

The Istituto Erboristico L’Angelica guarantees strict quality controls along the entire production chain. L'Angelica always keeps abreast of the latest technologies, and, indeed, has taken expert care of every stage of the production process for over 35 years, from herb to finished product. The daily processing of more than 400 types of medicinal plants and 100 plus tests performed every day ensure full product traceability. L'Angelica has set up in-house R&D and Quality Control laboratories. The company's core business revolves around research and development, through a team of researchers committed to developing ever new and innovative formulations, both in terms of effectiveness and in terms of chemical, physical and microbiological stability. The company focuses on quality and transparency, constantly monitoring and improving customer satisfaction. This has been made possible by a scrupulous quality control process, starting with the raw materials and through to the semi-finished and finished products, including packaging, the production process and the working environment.

The cultivation of officinalis and aromatic plants has given us a profound and scientific knowledge of them.

At the Istituto Erboristico L'Angelica botanic garden, more than 50 species of plants having cosmetic, food and pharmaceutical are cultivated on a trial basis using biological methods.

The addition of knowledge in the field is also ensured by continuing collaborations with international partners and with the scientific and academic world.
The best example of this is the close collaboration with BUP (Bononia University Press) in the “Nuove idee per la Nutraceutica” [New ideas for Nutraceuticals], which involves some of the more significant industry professionals.
The aim of the project is to help consumers with healthy eating and guide the discipline in its extremely fast development and to ensure a high level of protection over the choice of products.
