Properties
The blueberry offers extensive health benefits, including performing a specific action on the visual functions, antioxidant activity and protection on the microcirculation. Thanks to the active substances contained in it, anthocyanosides, acts on enzymes of the retina and the retinal pigment, improving eye protection and helping to maintain, especially in the twilight hours, an efficient visual function. The blueberry anthocyanins are part of the polyphenols, antioxidants that help to improve the body's resistance and the development of defences against free radicals. This also allows a cap on venous vessels, in particular capillaries.
