Properties
The dried flowering tops are used in infusion as a sedative and to treat insomnia. Furthermore scientific studies have confirmed that the sweet clover infusions can be applied externally over the inflamed and sore skin, especially in the legs, using cotton swabs soaked in the infusion. Its calming action is effective in case of anxiety attacks, nervous irritation, neuralgia and headaches. It has an effective sedative and antispasmodic action, useful in the treatment of colic of the digestive tract and in the case of gastrointestinal spasm.
